Kelly Renner CFP®

Certified Financial Planner™ Professional

I proudly served 4 years in the United States Air Force. I earned my bachelor's in business from Baker College in 2000. I started in the financial services industry in 2001 and by 2003 realized I would have to have my own business if I wanted to take care of my clients the way I felt they should be taken care of. I envisioned a firm that allowed me to always put the client's best interest first and never worry about how much money I made. I earned my master's in science of finance in 2005 and my Certified Financial Planner designation in 2007. I was a corporate analyst and controller, but my passion is personal finance and helping people understand their relationship with money.

I am blessed to be a financial planner and I love working with my clients. I feel like they are an extension of my family and I will do what I can to help make their lives better. I spend several hours a week learning different aspects to financial planning. This is how I can help my clients manage their ever-changing lives.

We have a great team at Life Strategies, and I love that we all work together to improve our client's lives. Each of us cares about what our clients are facing, and we take an active role in providing the best service possible.

My personal life is very much intertwined with my professional life. Jason and I have been married for 27 years and he joined the Life Strategies team in January 2018. We have 3 sons. Our oldest 2 are serving in the United States Air Force. Jake lives in St. Louis with his wife, Jayden and two children, Maevery and Maxsten. Alex is in Utah with his wife Kathryn. Our youngest, Drew, is pursuing his passion for music and plays Bass in a band, Estimated Principles. I love to explore new places, spend time with our kids and grandkids and sitting by the ocean is one of my favorites! I am pursuing a lifelong dream of earning my private pilot license. Watching the sunrise or sunset is always an amazing experience.

As a financial planner I really enjoy helping people reach their goals. I particularly enjoy telling work weary clients that they can retire and start the next phase of their lives. I enjoy talking about investments and helping investors feel comfortable with their options.

I currently hold the Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor designation from the College for Financial Planning. I have completed the Executive Program in Financial Planning through the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. I have passed the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ exam and hope to receive that certification soon.

I joined the Life Strategies team in January of 2018. I have been behind the scenes with Kelly since the business started, so it was nice to finally become a part of the day-to-day operations. I keep the office on track with my technical expertise and background in project management.

My personal life is very much intertwined with my professional life. Kelly and I have been married for 27 years and we have 3 grown boys and 2 grandchildren with one on the way. I have a culinary arts degree and enjoy cooking. My current hobbies include playing guitar in my spare time and trying to keep up with my youngest son, who plays bass in a local band. I also enjoy traveling and the great outdoors. Usually combining the two and turning every vacation/trip into some sort of adventure.

I became a member of the Life Strategies team in October of 2012 and throughout my entire career have always enjoyed working with people. At Life Strategies, I have the ability to do what I love best which is assisting clients, problem solving, and overall customer service.

I love working at Life Strategies Financial Partners because I believe in what we do for individuals, families and businesses. I know that when Kelly and Jason meet with a client, they are 110% focused on their goals and genuinely care about their needs, putting that above everything else. I love being a member of a team that cares for clients like they are family.

I am the one most people speak to when the phone rings at the office. My focus is to give each client the best possible client experience I can provide, so it is vital to me that our clients feel happy and appreciated.

In my spare time, I enjoy watching college football (preferably UGA), reading/book club, traveling, and most of all spending time with my family. My husband and I are proud parents of two children and a grandchild. Our daughter is married to a US Marine and their son, Asher was born in 2021. Our son is attending Georgia College and State University.
